1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website, courses, dashboards, materials, and services provided by ResearchWithMe Academic Consulting ("ResearchWithMe," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. About the Service

ResearchWithMe Academic Consulting provides academic training, mentoring, research support, thesis and dissertation defence preparation, templates, live classes, feedback, mock defence services, and related educational resources. Our flagship programme, Defend With Confidence, is a 3-contact online masterclass designed to help postgraduate students prepare for their thesis or dissertation defence.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register for our courses. Our services are designed for postgraduate students, early-career researchers, and individuals enrolled in or preparing for higher education programmes involving thesis, dissertation, proposal, or viva voce defence.

4. Registration

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during the registration process. ResearchWithMe reserves the right to refuse or cancel registration where false information, misconduct, non-payment, or misuse of services is detected.

5. Course Access

Access to live sessions, course materials, video replays, the participant dashboard, mock defence bookings, and certificates depends on the package selected (Standard, Professional, or VIP) and your payment status. Certain features and materials may be restricted until payment is confirmed.

6. Payments

You agree to pay the applicable course fee for your selected package. Payment may be made through approved payment processors (such as Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe), bank transfer, or other methods indicated on our website. Access to paid features may be delayed until your payment is verified and confirmed.

7. Course Materials

All templates, recordings, checklists, question banks, worksheets, slide decks, videos, and other resources provided through our courses are the intellectual property of ResearchWithMe Academic Consulting or used with permission. Participants may use these materials for personal learning and preparation purposes only.

You must not resell, redistribute, upload publicly, reproduce, modify for commercial purposes, or share course materials with others without prior written permission from ResearchWithMe.

8. Ethical Academic Use

ResearchWithMe does not write theses, dissertations, proposals, or examination responses for participants.

The Defend With Confidence masterclass and all related services are designed to help participants understand, present, and defend their own research ethically and confidently. Participants remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and institutional compliance of their academic work.

9. Participant Responsibilities

As a participant, you agree to:

• Attend live sessions on time and participate respectfully
• Use course materials responsibly and for personal learning only
• Submit your own original academic work for feedback and review
• Respect facilitators, staff, and fellow participants
• Not record, reproduce, or redistribute live sessions without permission
• Follow recognised academic integrity standards
• Use AI tools ethically and transparently where applicable

10. Live Classes and Replays

Live sessions may be recorded and made available as replays to registered participants. Replay access may vary by package, cohort, or duration. ResearchWithMe reserves the right to reschedule sessions where necessary and will communicate any changes to affected participants in a timely manner.

11. Mock Defence and Feedback

Mock defence sessions and personalised feedback are educational support services intended to help you prepare for your actual defence. All feedback is advisory in nature and does not constitute a guarantee of institutional approval, examination outcome, or degree award.

12. Certificates

Certificates of Participation are issued only to eligible participants who meet the completion requirements set by ResearchWithMe. Certificates confirm participation in the course and completion of the required contacts; they do not represent an academic qualification, degree certification, or institutional endorsement.

13. No Guarantee of Academic Outcome

ResearchWithMe does not guarantee that participants will pass their defence, receive a particular grade or outcome, or obtain approval from their institution.

Our courses are designed to improve your preparation, clarity, confidence, and defence readiness. Academic outcomes depend on many factors, including your own effort, your research quality, and institutional examination standards, which are beyond our control.

14. User Accounts and Dashboard

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must not share your dashboard access with others. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

15. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Hack, disrupt, or misuse our website, dashboard, or systems
• Share your login credentials with others
• Upload harmful files, malware, or malicious code
• Harass, abuse, or threaten facilitators, staff, or other participants
• Violate our intellectual property rights or those of third parties
• Use our services for academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or fabrication
• Copy, resell, or commercially exploit our course content without permission

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ResearchWithMe Academic Consulting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: institutional decisions, examination outcomes, academic penalties, loss of data, failed internet connections, participant non-attendance, misuse of materials, or any academic outcomes beyond our reasonable control.

17. Changes to Services

ResearchWithMe may update course content, dates, packages, pricing, materials, or platform features when necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to registered participants in advance.

18. Termination

ResearchWithMe reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services in cases of misconduct, non-payment, intellectual property violation, breach of these Terms, or other behaviour that we reasonably determine to be harmful to our community or services.

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the registered location of ResearchWithMe Academic Consulting, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
